How to move from iOS to Android

For instance, the Dark Sky weather application is not existing on Android any more as Apple has purchased it and the games in Apple Arcade are only owned by Google

  1. Step 1: Identify the right applications

You can not just duplicate your applications from iOS to Android, yet it is much easier to look for most of the same platforms in the Google Play store. All the major apps are provided on both stores so it is not difficult for you to find the main social media apps, Spotify, Netflix and many others.

However, there will be some differences as well. For instance, the Dark Sky weather application is not existing on Android any more as Apple has purchased it and the games in Apple Arcade are only owned by Google. Nevertheless, if an app is not available, there will be another similar one in the Play Store.

The things will get more complicated if you want to get a paid platform that you have already own. In most cases, an app you purchased on iOS will not be provided for free on Android. Therefore, the game you spend 6 dollars in the iOS App Store will be another 6 dollars if you want to get it on Android.  Before deciding to make a second purchase, you can check if there is any other more interested game.

  1. Step 2: Move your music

There are three types of music to consider, including streaming music, cloud music as well as local music. Music from such streaming services as Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music can be delivered in an easy manner just by downloading the suitable app and signing in.

Cloud music is the music you have already stored in a cloud service. Thus, for instance, if you utilized iTunes Match to copy your music collection to the cloud that should still be here in the Apple Music platform.

Moving music files or any other types of files between the devices is effectively done on a computer. Therefore, if you have saved music files in iCloud Drive, you can drag them to the Google Drive or Drop Box according to your own preferences. If you want to transfer music from your iTunes library, you can find that by visiting Music and then iTunes under your user account.
